How do you display user friendly error messages

Say after you get an error in the Dashboard, you double click on the channel, and you'll select the last error from the errors list. Then from the tabs {Raw Message, Transformed Message, Encoded Message, Mapping, Errors} you'll check for errors.
Is there any way to customize the error message so it would be displayed as one line instead of Java like one page error messages?
