Logging timestamp or ACK in a file when messages hit source queue

We recently ran into an issue where the client says they sent the message at 8:31 but we log timestamps of when we start processing and it shows we picked the message at 8:42. We prune messages over 14 days so we have no logs of when the message hit the source queue. We currently send response before processing. How can I log the ACKs for each message OR write some sort of code to log timestamp at the source when it is received and queued.

Thank you

When using the source queue your ACK is generated before processing. At best you can log when the message is processed from the queue, not when it was received or the response was sent.

The ACK content and the received/response time are all included in the messages you are pruning (assuming the channel storage level is set appropriately.) If you need to save that information after it is pruned, you can enable archiving in the pruner settings.
