Remove invalid xml

Did you try the Codesniped "Remove Illegal XML Characters" in preprocessor?
return message.replace(/[\x00-\x08]|[\x0B-\x0C]|[\x0E-\x1F]/g, '');

Of course this manipulates the original message but...
