Default multiple versions of Mirth Connect

What is the best way to support multiple versions of Mirth Connect ? Is it possible/advisable to install multiple versions of the Mirth Connect Administrator on the same PC ?

I currently do this; I have 2.1.1, 2.2.0, and 2.2.1 instances up on my laptop for testing purposes. The best way to do this is to create separate schemas for each instance (e.g. mirthdb211, mirthdb220, mirthdb221). In your configuration of each instance, make sure to use different ports for the web portal, Administrator portal, and JMX services. It's also important to note that in this configuration, it's probably a good idea not to use a dedicated service/daemon, or the Mirth Connect Server Manager. This is because the server manager appears to be hardcoded to reference the "Mirth Connect Service" service/daemon. You could designate one of the instances as your "main" one, and then configure the service/daemon as needed, if you really wanted to use the server manager.

Thanks for the quick response. Is there any way to maintain a channel in 2.2.1 and export it to a previous version, such as 2.0.1 ?

Not automatically, but you could just alter the XML manually. Depending on what type of connectors are in the channel, there might be only a few differences (like the MC version number), but some connectors have undergone quite a few changes since 2.0.1. For the most part, it would just be a matter of adding/removing properties of the connector node.

I have done some comparisons of the channel export XML. The properties differences aren't huge, but enough to be a hassle to maintain via manual editing.
