I am working with the Mirth Connect 2.1.1.5490 and have suddenly lost the ability to launch the server or start the service. I am running this for development on my local Windows 7 machine using the Derby database and it was working fine until earlier this week. Now if I try to start the service it tells me, "Windows could not start the Mirth Connect Service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." Also, if I try to start the mcserver.exe from a windows command prompt, I receive this message. "Error occurred during initialization of VM java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object"
Not sure what is going on, but would very much appreciate some help on it. Thanks. |

I've experienced that behaviour too when I had been playing with Mirth and SQL server. I went to the Database tab of the Mirth Connect Server Manager and set it back to 'derby'. I think I had to restart the PC and then it was fine again.

Did you perform any Java updates?

I believe I did run some Java updates around that time, which is something that I thought of, but I'm not sure how to fix it if something in the updates messed it up.

You might have to clear your java cache.
Control Panel-->Java-->Temp Files-->Delete It will mean needing to reinstall the client, but it should take care of any anomalies you might be having
