Default Mirth Connect Administrator Error

I have server running Mirth 3.0.2.7140 and when I log into the Mirth Connect Administrator I'm getting the following Error:

com.mirth.connect.client.core.ClientException: method failed: HTTP/1.1 500 PermGen space
com.mirth.connect.client.core.ServerConnection.exe cutePostMethodAsync(ServerConnection.java:222)
com.mirth.connect.client.core.Client.invokePluginM ethodAsync(Client.java:333)
com.mirth.connect.plugins.serverlog.ServerLogClien t.prepareData(ServerLogClient.java:75)
com.mirth.connect.client.ui.DashboardPanel$2.doInB ackground(DashboardPanel.java:142)
com.mirth.connect.client.ui.DashboardPanel$2.doInB ackground(DashboardPanel.java:135)
com.mirth.connect.client.ui.QueuingSwingWorker.doI nBackground(QueuingSwingWorker.java:96)
javax.swing.SwingWorker$1.call(Unknown Source)
java.util.concurrent.FutureTask$Sync.innerRun(Unkn own Source)
java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run(Unknown Source)
javax.swing.SwingWorker.run(Unknown Source)
java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run Task(Unknown Source)
java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run (Unknown Source)
java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

This error pops up every time the Updating Server Log dashboard panel plugin kicks off. I am not sure what is causing this issue. I have other servers running the same version of Mirth Connect and I'm not having this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time.

-Bryan

Add this to your mcservice.vmoptions file (or mcserver.vmoptions if you're running mcserver instead of mcservice):

Code:
-XX:MaxPermSize=256m
Then restart your Mirth Connect server, and try logging in again. I'm not sure why you're running into the permgen cap though, unless somehow you've set the system-wide JVM default to something smaller than the default 64MB or something. Also note that in Java 8 the permgen memory space has been completely removed (technically replaced by metaspace, which works differently), so it won't be a problem there.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

Our mcserver.vmoptions and mcservice.vmoptions files are identical on all of our Mirth Appliances in the field.

Code:
-server
-Xmx2048m
-Djava.awt.headless=true

But did you try it? And did it work, or not?

Is there anything else out of the ordinary with that particular instance? Running the exact same version/distribution of the Oracle/Sun JRE? Is there a disproportionate amount of channels or message traffic?

Yes this did the trick. Now I have to find where we are getting this overwritten because I'm pretty sure we are setting it elsewhere.

Thanks again for your help.
