Default How to implement CCD export/import feature?

Hi All,

I am working on a health care application that is developed in ASP.NET and C#. We are currently in the process of incorporating CCHIT 2011 specified criteria/features in our product.

As a part of this, we are currently looking at implementing exporting/importing CCDs feature.

I have downloaded the CCD and CCR schemas and converted them to classes. Now, I am stuck up without knowing how to go ahead. My aim to implement interoperability feature in my application. Please guide me on how to go ahead with exporting and importing CCD documents. I would like to start from the basics please. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is very urgent.

Thank you.

Hi,

You could use Mirth Connect to generate ccd documents by pulling data from your application database (export). You could also setup a Mirth Connect channel that takes incoming ccd documents, parses them, and makes the proper inserts to your application database (import). I suggest you get familiar with ccd by reviewing the specs in detail. I also suggest that you take a Mirth training class.

Thank you for the information, Daniel. It would be great if you could send me the details about your training program. I would like to have a detailed training on CCD and HITSP specifications on CCD. You can contact me on nipun.varma@m2comsys.com

Default Mirth for conversion of formats

Hi,

I was curious to know if Mirth is capable of storing health care data in one format (for e.g. CCD) and subsequently transforming it into a different format (for e.g HL7) before transmission to a different destination database.

I work with a C#.NET environment.
