Default MirthConnect Alerts: available variables

I have searched the forums and reviewed relevant presentations looking for an answer, but without luck, so am posting here.

I am, sadly, still running Version 1.8.1.4211 on my production appliance.

I was running 2.x on my test server, but have not been able to retrieve now-forgotten password, so it is worthless.

My alerts are set up to send me the following information:

[${error}]
[${channel}]
[${renderedContent}]

However, alerts received in my email do not identify the anything beyond that an error occurred. I would like to see channel and destination if possible.

A couple of forum links I found with similar questions:

source: http://www.mirthcorp.com/community/f...lert+variables

source: http://www.mirthcorp.com/community/f...lert+variables

The referenced variables seem to be:
  • Error
  • Systime
  • Channel
  • channelName
  • error
  • SYSTIME

Note that the case is copy/paste from the forum posts.

Are these not available in the version of MirthConnect I am running?

Thanks.

I do not have a version of 1.8 to check if these variables are there on 1.8 but on 2.1, click alerts at the bottom left there is an email body box. On the right there is alert variables, you can drag and drop them into the email body with any text that you want to add. If they are not available, you can create an alerting channel that will poll the database periodically and generate your own email that is formatted with any information that you want. It can also continue to alert you, if the error is not fixed.

Thanks -- I think I just need to upgrade my old version.
