Default Mirth server compile & execute issue

I'm working on getting a Mirth server up and running after compiling the current code from trunk.

I installed as described in the instructions here:
http://www.mirthcorp.com/community/w...ageId=11178096

Then when I couldn't tell whether my issue was with the database or other configuration, I started moving to sqlserver as per the following:
http://www.mirthcorp.com/community/w...ver+datasource

But I kept tracking the problem down and after getting a copy of the mybatis-sql source code I can see that the issue is coming at the parsing of the mappings in SqlMapConfig.xml, for the very first mapping, sqlserver/sqlserver-user.xml

This file does exist in the correct directory, but as soon as mybatis attempts an eval method on the it hits a null-pointer exception and returns vague runtime exceptions down the line. The line in question is: configurationElement(parser.evalNode("/mapper"));
Found in XMLMapperBuilder.java

I can't see anything wrong with the config files which I had not changed at all from the start. Just to make sure I deleted line-breaks and reformatted to make certain there were no odd hidden-characters messing things up.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated

More information, it looks like the XMLMapperBuilder is expecting a format for the sqlserver-user.xml that matches the postgres-user.xml configuration file. Mirth.properties is set for sqlserver.

the SQL mapping changes from ibatis2 to ibatis3 which has some different tags for the mapping files.

It looks as if postgres is the only one beeing completed for the moment. In addition there is a mapping (${database}-message.xml) whiche exists for pg only.

I think the only option that makes sense is to use postgres for the moment

Piet,
Thanks for the response, I just came back to this today after other projects distracted away :/

Yeah, I finally understood the version difference with the mappings, there's a tool to convert the old mappings available at: http://code.google.com/p/mybatis/wiki/DocUpgrade3

There were a few issues with the where clauses, which should look pretty much exactly like the postgres versions.

Now I'm hitting an issue with mirth looking for an insertChannelTag mapping, there was no CHANNEL_TAG table created by the sqlserver.sql script, so I'm looking at using the postgres table create sql there as well.

Ok, everything is further along: the server states that it's started and running. I see data populated in the mirth Event table, so the database is connected to..

But I still see the following error thrown every time, and I'm not certain whether it's critical or not, or what it means: com.mirth.connect.donkey.server.data.jdbc.XmlQuery Source$XmlQuerySourceException: Failed to read query file: sqlserver2012.xml

I can't seem to connect to the server from the client, even though the port and username/password are exactly right, so I'm wondering if that last error is the show-stopper.
