Red face Using 2 Mirth Databases

We are looking to use two Mirth databases for different environments which would act similar to a failover. For example:

Environment 1 ----- MirthDB1
Environment 2 ----- MirthDB2

if environment 1 goes down, or needs shutting down, environment 2 can be brought up.

MirthDB1 and MirthDB2 would be mirror images of each other and Mirth2 would act more like a failover configuration.

Does anyone have ideas or advice as to whether this can be done?

Default

If each Mirth instance (application) has its own database, there would be no problem.

We have three instances, two of which have their databases (mirthdb01 and mirthdb02) on a central database cluster, with the third instance, a backup, having its own SQL database.

Do not expect replication to work from one database to the other unless you plan on restarting services on the backup instance to ensure all the newest channels are loaded into memory.
