Default Remove Name spaces from xml node

I am attempting to remove the namespace.
msg.*::custodian.*::assignedCustodian.*::represent edCustodianOrganization.*::name = facilityName;

output = <name xmlns="">facilityName</name>

How can I remove the 'xmlns=""' from this name node?

Use "strip namespaces" in Set Data Types setting on the Summary tab.

When I choose the option to Strip Namespaces on the outbound properties of my destination, the namespaces still come out in the encoded xml.

When I choose the option to strip Namespaces on both the inbound AND outbound properties of my destination, I receive the error:

TypeError: The prefix "xsi" for attribute "xsi:type" associated with an element type "value" is not bound.
