Default Search question

Using v3.0.3. Noticed that the Start and End Time on the Dashboard search no longer has a default of today's date. Is it possible to configure this to default to current date?

That's because by default the most recent message IDs will be displayed (as many as the page size you have set). Setting a specific date range can yield different results than always returning the most recent messages.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

I usually open the dashboard for a connector if there is a problem, and I need to search for a specific message. If I input a text search for an accession number the system will assume I want to search the whole database. This action is very slow, since I have >600,000 recs in history. The original v2 allow me to search for this quickly since it defaulted to a subset (current date only) range. I now have to set the start and end time everytime I open the dashboard for a connector. I just wanted a faster way to do this.

Well that's certainly a good point. I've created an issue for it: MIRTH-3482

Default View Messages default values

Agreed this is needed. Ability to set default search criteria on opening the View Messages in particular. Otherwise there could be a long delay waiting for Search button to become available.
