Default Database Writer: Insert button pulls up nothing

Hi;

I'm connecting to SQL Server 2003 in a database writer using:

jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://192.168.20.30:1433/ActiveDirectoryBatch;integratedSecurity=false;

It seems to connect okay as I get no errors when I click "Insert". I tested this by placing a deliberate error in the URL and got an error connecting message.

No fields appear in the window that pops up on Insert.

I'm not using javascript, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

I've verified that my user has permissions on the tables I need to get to.

Any ideas?

Are you using 1.8.1? Do you know if this worked for you in 1.8 or 1.7.1?

I can't think of what to look for, but be sure to look for more general JDBC and JTDS issues like this. It might be Mirth specific, but its more likely to be a generic JDBC/JTDS issue.

Just a couple things - try to use the direct i.p. instead of server name? Make sure that you have tcp/ip enabled for that (default) port, or is another port enabled?

I'm using 2.1.1 and am getting the same results. I've run a trace on the database and the following query is being run:

exec sp_tables N'%',N'myUser',NULL,N'"''TABLE'',''VIEW''"'

The problem lies in the TableOwner (listed as myUser) above. If I change the user to 'dbo' in the query above it will return tables.

I can't get it to work with Mirth. In the DB Writer window I am entering credentials for 'myUser' and this is what get's passed into the query ... which return nothing.

'myUser' is aliased to dbo in my database, but Mirth has no idea of that.

Chuck.

I've had this issue repeat, but I've noted that I could still connect to the database using javascripting so I didn't pursue it.
