Default Monitoring a channel

Hi, I'm trying to monitor a channel and if it has stopped send out an email.

At first I thought I could use the built in alerts for this but after further reading have found I can not. So I figured I could write a script to do it but the mirth shell is so restrictive and it doesn't accept normal dos/bash/power shell commands. I can't even get it to export the channel status to a text file so I can parse it that way. Any help or solutions would be much appreciated. Thanks

What do you mean by "stopped"? Do you want to see if the Channel is no longer enabled for some reason?

I have a Channel that I use to send me an email containing all of the Enabled channels and their Dashboard stats, i.e. sent, received, queued, etc. total.

Can you post that channel. I was starting to write one for monitoring purposes and you have done part of it.

Thanks.
Chuck.

I wrote the attached a while back, it's a channel that monitors other channels and sends an alert if no messages have been received after a set period. just add the channel id's you want to monitor to the top of the script. you may want to modify the script as it only sends an alert mon-fri 8-5 I think. a bit crude, but does the job.
