Default JTDS - Forced Encryption - Anyone get this to work?

I have forced encryption enabled on my SQL server and when I updated Mirth Server Manager URL to include ... ssl=require; the service starts fine.

However, when I try to launch Administrator, I get an error "Unable to launch the application". The details simply state: Could not load file/URL specific http://localhost:8080 etc. Connection refused: connect

I am using the latest version of Mirth with JRE 1.8.

Anything else I should try?

Update:

There still seems to be an issue (or so I can tell) with using MS JDBC driver and keeping it under the custom-lib folder.

I moved it to server-lib and Mirth now starts correctly. Which is probably what I should've done all along.

Mirth now starts and I can launch the administrator but attempting to log in is met with:

Server is still starting or otherwise unavailable. Please try again shortly.

I cleared out the Java cache and still no dice. Nothing in the Mirth logs either but netstat -anp tcp | findstr "8443" and "8080" shows Mirth is listening.

Any potential next steps?

I know this thread is almost two years old but did you get this working or were you required to purchase the SSL extension? I'm facing a similar situation where I'm trying to reach a server hosting SQL that's enforcing secure connections.

Using the Microsoft JDBC Driver worked!
