Default Non Healthcare/Fun/Interesting uses for Mirth Connect

Hey everybody,

I'm doing an introduction training to Mirth connect at work and I would like to give some non-healthcare/fun/interesting uses for mirth that might perk the interest of the other employees. I would like to get the other employees to be thinking of creative/innovative uses for mirth connect.

I read the post where someone said they are using it in World of Warcraft, to parse raid statistics into a database and narupley's bot for an internal HipChat group. Anyone else coming up with cool ideas?

Also would anyone be interested in working together to build some non healthcare open-source channels. We could put up a Github org and create some projects if anyones interested.

Thanks have a good day.

Yes, there is huge opportunity for Mirth Connect to be applied in the Higher Ed marketplace. I work for a company the develops workflow product for data entry and verification of students information. The captured information integrates with third party back-end processing software that is deployed by college's and universities application processing systems. So I would like to see how I can apply my previous experience with Healthcare marketplace applications to this current project.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

- How do I foo?
- You just bar.
