Question dbdrivers.xml and 3.8.0

How does the new Mirth Connect 3.8.0 work when we remove a
<driver tag completely out of the dbdrivers.xml file.
And then change the name of a different one to match the name that
was used throughout the channels.
Then we start up Mirth Connect.

Essentially swapping out a driver and updating any URL.

Is Mirth Connect storing this dbdriver info in its database also?
How does this new version differ from the older one in regard to the
dbdrivers.xml file?

When you upgrade to 3.8, the server will take whatever you have in dbdrivers.xml and migrate that into the database. From then on, the dbdrivers.xml file is no longer used, instead the values in the database are used.

Whatever edits you made to the file before upgrading should be correctly migrated into the new version.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

Question

Ok. Thanks. I made the edits after I already upgraded my DEV environment.
So they won't have any affect. Can I just delete the dbdrivers.xml file then?
