Default executeCachedQuery return results

This used to work for almost a year up until today 1/23/2011:

vresult=dbConn.executeCachedQuery(sSql);
while (vresult.next())
{
if (vresult.getString('result')=='1')
{
vok=true;
}
}

the variable 'sSql' calls an sp and when successful the last line of the sp is
select '1' result;

up until now when the same sp is called and the process is successful.
the content of the result is 'com.sun.rowset.CachedRowSetImpl@192b527'

any idea why it's not returning the value '1' is greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm using the following when creating the connection object:

DatabaseConnectionFactory.createDatabaseConnection

I'm also having trouble parsing the results after an Oracle SQL query from com.sun.rowset.CachedRowSetImpl

I've tried to use some of these methods, but to no avail. The query appears to be running correctly, but I'm still confused why I can't "do anything" to the result returned by the db query.
e.g.
result.getobject()
result.getInt(0)
result.getInt(1)
result.getrow(0)

all don't work. Must be time to go for a run.

=======
logger.error("Result.text is: " + result.text);
Result.text is: undefined

logger.error("Result.number is: " + result.number);
Result.number is: undefined
