Like the IRC channel, it's a place to live chat with others in the community. About Mirth Connect, programming in general, other healthcare IT issues, or anything really!
It's free and easy, just go here to sign up: https://mirthconnect.herokuapp.com By "you@yourdomain.com" it means enter your e-mail address, FYI. Then you can sign in here: https://mirthconnect.slack.com/messa...neral/details/ You can also download the Slack desktop or mobile app here: https://slack.com/downloads It's a much richer chat environment than IRC (though I love IRC as well). You can share code snippets, upload files, and much more: ![]() I even have a "helpful" bot in there, which just so happens to be written with Mirth Connect channels! ![]() If you have any issues joining let me know here or PM me.

While I am a Slack fan and like the more "real time" support over on Slack - don't we end up losing the shared knowledge base that the forum provides and a few other things?
Lost:

It's not meant to be a replacement for the forums, just a supplement
![]() Some people find the real-time back and forth to be helpful when you're not sure how to pose the question to begin with. A lot of times questions asked in Slack do end up with someone posting a link to the appropriate forum topic anyway.
