Default Selectively Dropping messages.

Hello All,

Can someone tell me how to drop a message based on a value in the message and also respond with an ACK?

For example if a source is sending LLP with various types of ADT and I decide I don't need an ADT^A04. Can I drop the message based on the A04 value and still ACK the sender?

Some RIS's and EMR's don't respond well to non-responses.

Yes, this is the default behavior for Mirth's LLP listener.

Basically you would define a filter that checks the the message type for ADTA04. If this matches it will return true and pass the message on, otherwise it will return false and drop the message.

Mirth will still send the ACK back to the LLP sender either way.

Thanks, Chris. That's a bit different from what I'm used to. I suppose I made an assumption based on prior experience.
