Is there info on how to use the fix for MIRTH-1239 for version 3.1.

You'll have to upgrade to 3.1.0, or manually install the patch yourself if you can't upgrade. There's information on our wiki about how to checkout and build the project in an IDE. Note that the patches attached to that issue are old and not valid for 3.x. Instead you'll have to look at the actual commit log and infer the appropriate changes from there.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

huh? I just installed 3.1. I am wondering what variables are available now for that issue.

Like ${originalFilePath}

Gotcha, sorry I was confused by your phrasing, since you asked in the JIRA issue how to apply the patches. The JIRA issue outlines exactly what variables were added; read the comments.

Changes.txt says to use ${Directory} .

So, will this hold the concept of ${originalDirectory} ?

As I noted here and in the actual JIRA issue, the patches attached are very old and no longer valid. However in the comments of the issue, and the actual commit log, you can see what the actual changes were:

Added "fileDirectory", "fileSize", and "fileLastModified" into the source map for File Readers. Code templates have also been added to the references list.

To be consistent the sourceMap should also have "fileName" but instead we have to use "originalFilename".
