Default FileWriter Dir and Global variables

It seems to me that a folder specified in the global script (by globalMap.put) cannot be retrieved or used in the Directory field of the FileWriter connector. Also, no global variables appear in the Destination Mappings list of the right side of the connector.

You can use map variables in the Directory field of the File Writer (just tested and confirmed that it works in 2.2.2 and 3.0). If it's not working for you, you probably haven't set the map variable correctly.

Global and global channel map variables currently do not show up in the Destination Mappings list.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

- How do I foo?
- You just bar.

Ok, I've got it. It is the "Test Write" that does not work, but the connector itself works as expected. Probably because Global variables are not actually deployed during the design time.
