Default SMTP: Connection refused

Hi all,

I cannot send emails to Gmail through "Email Sender" connector in the 2.1.1 version. The error I have is:

javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: smtp.gmail.com, port: 587;
nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

The parameters I put to the connector (not using Server Settings, but introducing manually in the connector form) are:

SMTP Server Host : smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Server Port : 587 or 465
Secure Connection : SSL
Use Authentication : Yes
Username : xxx@gmail.com
Password : xxx
To : xxx@gmail.com
From : xxx@gmail.com

I tried with both ports 587 and 465, using SSL: When I use 587, it gives me the "connection refused" error, and when I use 465, it remains in a "idle" status doing nothing...

I have checked on the "enable IMAP" option on Gmail, and also I read all the posts here, but I can't solve it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I am experiencing the same issues. I can telnet to 587 and send initialization strings, but nothing sends. On a testing server, it works just fine.

Also, port 465 times out.

Did you ever find a solution?
