Default ftp file reader stuck

We have a file reader channel using ftp method, and sometimes it appears to get stuck reading.

Most of the time the connection log will show the channel as Idle, then Polling, then Reading, then the destinations write and finally the channel goes Idle again. It does this throughout the day, then at random points, the dashboard indicates the channel is stuck on Reading, and the connection logs do not show any other activity on that channel. I can go into the channel and test the connection and the test works fine but the channel is still stuck and won't pick up new files until we restart or redeploy.

if I stop, then halt, the status is "stopping" and it doesn't seem to ever stop.

Anyone ever seen this behavior before or know how to resolve?

kirbykn2 is on a distinguished road

Yep, I have. I put an alert on the channel to restart if no messages were picked up in x amount of time.
