Smile Treshold for queued messages

I really would appreciate an alert when a threshold for queued messages is reached.

We have a channel that we developed that pulls this information from the database and sends an email. You can set the destination as email (smtp for 2.2.1).

SELECT c.id, c.name, CASE WHEN t.cnt IS NULL THEN 0 ELSE t.cnt END, max FROM channel c
LEFT OUTER JOIN ( SELECT COUNT(*) AS cnt, m.channel_id, MAX(m.date_created) as max
FROM MESSAGE m WHERE m.status = 'QUEUED' GROUP BY m.channel_id, m.status) t
ON ( t.channel_id = c.id)
WHERE c.is_enabled = true and t.cnt > queueDepthExceedThreshold

Alerts when a channel is tying up system resources for X amount of time.

This has been a problem on several occasions when a channel is stuck for whatever reason and compromises the other channels on the server's performance.

I would have the channel set a flag (database, file, etc.) when it starts processing and clear the flag when it is done. Then have a second channel that monitors that flag and if the flag has been set for X amount a time generate the alert.

Default cory_cole's channel

I would also like to see cory_cole's channel. It seems like it would be quite useful.

Thanks,
Chris

Default Alert Acknowledgment Flag

One of the gaps in any alerting system is the ability to close the gap once the alert is sent out by having a way of acknowledging the receipt of an alert. Would it be possible to include an option to have an alert acknowledgement flag? This could be used to escalate to different levels in an organization if the alert is not acknowledged within a set time threshold.

I could really use the proposed feature:

Alert dispatch timing threshold:
- Prevent dispatching the same alert multiple times in succession
- Specify a threshold in which a channel can send the same alert

I have a channel that kicks out a "Connection Refused" error more than I'd like but it doesn't stop the messages from sending so there are no Errored messages stuck.

Ahh, I see that I need the Platinum support to get the advanced alerting.

Yep, both of those things are possible now! Check out the featured webinar to see a demo of the plugin.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.
