Question General ADT/HL7 Spec Question

Is there a common place in an ADT message to indicate whether a patient is at risk for falling out of bed? If you needed to send this information with an ADT, where would you put it?

I'm thinking PV2-41 "Precaution Code" using "O" (other) with an explanation, but I want to make sure that I am employing best/common practice to this because I will not be sending these messages, I will be receiving them.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Default adt/hl7 ?

First wheresjim tell me if pv2-41 is repeatable. if so then yes that is a perfect place for it. If you work for a company that has published a standard you need to update that.

Happy HL7ing!
