Default localhost vs loopback

Thanks, agermano. Yes, I can connect fine from Workbench as mirth user using either localhost or loopback address. Neither of these works from the Mirth side. I'm not convinced that Mirth manager is even trying to make a connection as nothing is logged by MySQL. Do you think that Mirth is fully compat with MySQL 8 on 2016 server? I doubt that this should be this difficult!

version 8.0 of mysql was just released last month. I think you'll either need to use version 5.7 or upgrade the mysql connector that ships with Mirth.
