Question Channel won't halt

I have a channel with a Database Reader and it reads a very very large query.
When I am testing it, I want to stop it sometimes. I select stop channel and then also try halt channel. The channel just keeps going and says 'Stopping' but won't halt. I have to kill the server and restart to get it to stop. And even then I have to sometimes restart the server 2 times.

Is this normal or can this be improved in the next release of Mirth Connect?

Mirth Connect Server 3.3.0.7801
Built on September 14, 2015
Java version: 1.8.0_65

Default Same problem

Hey there,

I'm having the same problem. I have two channels - one TCP sender and one TCP listener. I can send a message to the TCP Listener channel with a timeout error, but I cannot get the channel to halt so I can redeploy it and change the settings without restarting the server.

For me, I suspect it has to do with setting timeout error response to 0 (infinite error timeout). I am only sending one hl7 message, so I suspect it doesn't have to do with the file size.

Default WindyWindy

I am struggling with the same issue. I have 4 channels created for my case.
1)ADT Inbound Channel for receiving a HL7 2.3 version file
2)DFT Inbound Channel for receiving a HL7 2.3 version file.
3) ADT Out bound Channel for converting the HL7 V2.4
4)DFT out bound channel for converting the Hl7 V2.4

I have problem with ADT Out bound queued with 1,508,156 message awaiting.I had a problem and i have to stop the channel and even Halt it . It is showing the stopping status for me for almost 4 hours.

Can some one help me what is an alternative for me to stop and start it. I have some other channels which is currently progressing on.If i still the csservices it will stop other channels message progress . Can some one help on this please.

What kind of tasks your channel is performing?

This is not a generic problem, it happens when the channel is trying to perform a resource extensive task and is interrupted in between.
