Default Creating a DICOM object from scratch

We have the following implemented in one channel at the moment:
  • Source is TCP listener receiving HL7 messages
  • 1st destination writes the same HL7 message out to disk
  • 2nd destination gets a URL from HL7, downloads a PDF from the URL and writes it out disk alongside the HL7
Now we would like to add a 3rd destination, which uses the PDF to create DICOM encapsulated PDF and send it to a PACS.

Is this possible using a template for the DICOM object and populating relevant fields? There doesn't seem to be a lot of documentation regarding DICOM manipulation to help me along.

Hello TarmoR, I know that this is an old thread from 2016 however I am looking for information similar to what you were asking. Did you ever figure it out?

Thanks!
Tim
