Unhappy Deleting old alerts

Using Mirth 3.0 - we have a situation where one of our Alerts has queued to send out 1000's of email alerts because of bad messages coming in overnight. We fixed the problem with the messages; however, we cannot get Mirth to stop trying to send out the "old" alert messages. We even deleted the Alert itself, but the old alerts still are be generated. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks

Are you sure it's actually an alert? You aren't manually sending an e-mail somewhere in your channel code or in a code template?

Note that for the Advanced Alerting plugin, you can set a "wait period", such that when an alert is triggered, it will wait at least that amount of time before it can be triggered again.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

Correct - it was generated from an alert, not from code. Is there a way to FLUSH out these old alerts somehow?

If you already disabled or deleted your alerts, then they will not be triggering at all. Alert actions do not get queued up at all. Have you already tried restarting the Mirth Connect server?

EDIT: The above actually isn't correct; look below for more info.

We restarted the Mirth service - and that fixed the issue - thank you!

FYI, I've actually tracked this down, and it's a sort of "bug/feature", depending on how you look at it. I created an issue for it: MIRTH-3248
