Default JMS Reader (/Writer) and non TextMessage

Hi all,

I'm reading a JMS queue by a JMS Reader channel which works well (except JNDI issues discussed elsewhere) as long as the message put into the queue is a javax.jms.TextMessage.

If the message is a javax.jms.BytesMessage (and that was the default before) the channel just seems to issue the .toString method to the payload and continues to proceed with the pointer representation to the byte array.

Actually, not too much content in there...

Is there a chance to process anything else besides a TextMessage or do I have to convert everything into a String before queueing?

Thx,

Stefan
