Could not change the FilteringMulticastRouter because of synchronization error that still occurs with the message object. However, upgrading and patching Rhino because of MIRTH-1194 seems to have contributed to a large performance increase (roughly 50%). Running Java 6 instead of Java 5 also gives a moderate performance boost. Therefore, this issue will be closed.
