There is an important config option in MM that switches from memory-based caching to disk-based caching. This should be set if the client is expecting to load larger populations, say 200K+ or so. This option is located under Domain -> General Settings.
Increase HTTP Threads Allowed:
Log into glassfish, expand Configuration, click on HTTP Service.
Select the Request Processing tab.
Change the Thread Count to a larger number.
Default is 5, this can be increased to 32 for example on larger systems.
