Implementation Engineer
Description:
The Implementation Engineer will be responsible for all phases of software implementation; including design, configuration, user training, and go live support of the entire Mirth Technology stack. This would include an understanding of integration and interdependencies with other clinical and financial software systems. They will act as the primary contact for Mirth during the implementation/installation phase and will have responsibility to maintain communication to multiple resources within the client’s information technology group. The requirements for this role will require a high degree of technical aptitude and understanding of systems, networks, and integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the client in the design and implementation of the Mirth appliances and software.
  • Coordinate all activity related to technical implementation and facilitates communication between the key participants.
  • Develop implementation schedules and timelines for the installation aspects of the project; then consistently delivers milestones that meet those timelines.
  • Travel onsite as needed to assist with various project deliverables.
  • Develop software or workflow documentation.
  • Ability to service numerous parallel assignments.
  • Other duties as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of the information technology industry; including both operating systems and networks.
  • Proficient with the Linux operating system.
  • Familiar with java or other similar languages.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with our clients at all levels of the organization.

Integration Engineer
Description:
The Integration Engineer will be responsible for all phases of integration between Mirth Systems and other software systems; using a common communication standard to exchange this information. Using this common standard and the Mirth software development platform, they will be responsible for developing the software that will allow the various clinical systems to communicate. They will act as the primary contact for Mirth during the integration phase of our projects and will have responsibility to maintain communication to multiple resources within the client’s information technology group. The requirements for this role will require a high degree of technical aptitude, with a strong focus on programming skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the client in the development of design specifications that help to facilitate clinical software integration.
  • Development of software that meet the agreed upon specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between the key participants.
  • Develop schedules and timelines that adhere to the project timeline.
  • Travel onsite as needed to assist with various project deliverables.
  • Development of software or workflow documentation.
  • Ability to service numerous parallel assignments or projects.
  • Works closely with the Project Manager to communicate status and reports to the Director of Professional Services.
  • Completion of other assigned duties, as needed to support Mirth operations.

Software Trainer
Description
The Mirth Software Trainer, will instruct groups of individuals on the use of the Mirth family of software products in an in-person classroom environment. Additionally, you will work closely with the Manager of Training Services to continually update and expand the training materials and offerings. As the software is geared primarily to interface developers and other technical positions, this position requires a high degree of technical aptitude, with some programming skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct training attendees on the use of Mirth software
  • Pre-training preparation and post-training wrap-up
  • Update and maintain training materials
  • Develop and expand training materials
  • Help with the expansion of Mirth Training offerings
  • Develop and record online training presentations
  • Possibility of occasional travel to on-site training locations, including working with the customer in advance to provide required logistics

Requirements

  • Strong public speaking and inter-personal skills are essential
  • Previous training experience a plus
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Solid programming skills, with knowledge of Java or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts
  • Knowledge of relational data structures and databases
  • Knowledge of HL7 a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Software Engineer
Project: Mirth Connect
Mirth Connect is a popular open source healthcare integration engine used by hospitals, labs, and clinics worldwide to transform and route healthcare data. While Mirth Connect is open source and its development is influenced by a large community of users and contributors, it is also backed by professional grade support and engineering through Mirth Corporation.

Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer on Mirth Connect, you will work closely with a small team of experienced engineers to design and implement the next generation high-performance healthcare messaging system. Your scope will be from the architecture level to the implementation and testing level and require attention to detail. You will have the opportunity to explore and evaluate the use of new technologies and interact with a large open source community to drive the design. Your goal will be to achieve the levels of performance and reliability needed to meet the demands of healthcare messaging. You will also interact directly with a high-profile partner organization to architect and implement new extensions to Mirth Connect and expand its capabilities within the healthcare space. Minimum Qualifications:

Help Desk Engineer
Provide phone and email support for our rapidly expanding client base.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists our clients with design guidance, development troubleshooting, and code samples.
  • Helps with the installation, configuration, and use of the Mirth products.
  • Develops work-arounds for any confirmed software bugs and/or expedite fixes.
  • Escalates difficult and urgent issues to senior engineering staff.

Ideal Skills/Experience:

  • Some working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Some working knowledge of SQL.
  • Some networking knowledge.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills are a must.
  • Bachelor or University Degree required.
