Irvine, CA and Oostkamp, Belgium, November 2, 2009 – Mirth Corporation, the leader in commercial open source healthcare information technology and Amaron today announced that the companies have finalized a European reseller and support agreement that allows Amaron to resell Mirth interoperability solutions and to provide certified consulting and systems integration services for Mirth’s market-leading commercial open source health information technology.
The agreement grew out of multiple joint customer opportunities driven by strong demand for Mirth’s commercial open source interoperability suite combined with Amaron’s ability to deliver enterprise-ready solutions that take advantage of open source as well as closed source software. Together they have built decades of experience in connectivity of Radiology Information Systems, EPR and PACS systems. The Amaron founders began initially with a leading European RIS vendor (QUADRAT NV) and then later, being acquired by Agfa Healthcare, moved to advance the integration capabilities of this global healthcare powerhouse.
“Through numerous production solutions, Mirth has demonstrated its ability to scale to large data and user volumes, and address sophisticated integration challenges at the enterprise level,” said Maurice Van Kerkhoven, CEO of Amaron. “With this alliance, we’re addressing the increasing demand for these kinds of solutions and Amaron is excited to be able to offer Mirth entire interoperability product portfolio to our current and prospective clients.”
“Amaron provides deep experience in delivering enterprise healthcare solutions,” said Jon Teichrow, President of Mirth Corporation. “This relationship will provide a more scalable way for both companies to address the demand for Mirth solutions throughout Europe.”
