The V1000 supports both VMware and Xen virtualization technologies. VMware formatted Virtual Appliances can be run using either the free VMware Player, VMware Server application, directly on an ESX hypervisor platform. Xen formatted Virtual Appliances can run under any of the Xen hypervisor platforms.
V1000 appliances are purchased per instance, based on the use case. For example:
- V1000-121 – Integrate one HIT application at a single healthcare provider organization to another application, external partner or HIE.
- V1000-12M – Implement a data gateway to integrate your HIE or EMR with multiple endpoints.
- V1000-M2M – Run a health information exchange or data aggregation hub with multiple participating organizations sending and receiving data through a common system.
There is no limit to the type of hardware you can run your virtual appliance on. Scale the CPU, memory, and storage to meet the needs of your application.
